Primary Care and Vaccines Collaborative Clinical Trials Unit
(PCVC-CTU)

is a consortium of individually accredited research units at the University of Oxford who carry out high-quality, academically-led trials and translational research. We work closely with Oxford University Hospitals, and collaborate across the UK and the rest of the world. 

We perform trials across a wide range of therapeutic areas, whilst fostering a joined-up approach to our use of resources and expertise, resulting in synergies that allow us to conduct efficient yet focussed research. Please explore this site to learn more about our research and how you can work with us.

Oxford Vaccine Group

The Oxford Vaccine Group is an independent multi-disciplinary clinical trials and epidemiology group in the Department of Paediatrics, based at the Centre for Clinical Vaccinology and Tropical Medicine, University of Oxford. OVG works towards the goal of developing new and improved vaccines for the prevention of infection in adults and children, enhancing the understanding of immunity and studying the epidemiology of infectious diseases. Jenner Institute

Trial support

The Jenner Institute is a research partnership between the University of Oxford and the Institute for Animal Health The Institute focuses on the parallel development of human and veterinary vaccines against major global diseases - from early-stage research through to clinical trials. Primary Care Unit

Trial support

The Unit is involved in the design, conduct and analysis of multi-centred randomised trials that are carried out in collaboration with local NHS Trusts in both primary and secondary care.  With excellent working relationships with UK wide primary care based study sites the Unit also has close links with many of the UK Clinical Research Networks, particularly Primary Care Research, Diabetes, Medicines for Children andComprehensive Local Research Networks.
